چکیده

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease followed by an increase in blood glucose and impaired metabolism of proteins, lipids carbohydrates. In general, these conditions are caused insulin secretion and/or defects receptors. As yet, there no effective drug capable treating DM. Manifestations DM worsen when accompanied severe inflammation. Therefore, the avoiding strategy management inflammation primary courses action preventing further damage. this study, we had evidence that Coriandrum sativum L. extract (CSE) could be used as alternative to relieve symptoms mice model. Previously, CSE has been shown able inhibit synthesis pro-inflammatory molecule interleukin (IL)-6 both B220 CD11b cells. Here, showed prevents over-activation CD4 CD8 T lymphocytes. The predominance cells expressing CD62L on after administration indicated were obstacles activation. also suppressed excessive CD25 expression, causing expression return normal levels. Thus, study therapeutic activity model suppressing cytokines, modulate activation naïve cells, maintain population CD4+CD25+

Antioxidant potential of Coriandrum sativum L. seed extract.

The seeds of C. sativum are used as a traditional drug for the treatment of diabetes. The antioxidant and free-radical-scavenging property of seeds in vitro was studied and also investigated whether the administration of seeds curtails oxidative stress in the kidney of streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Incorporation of seed powder in the diet led to marked lowering of blood glucose and a ri...

Anticonvulsant effect of extract and essential oil of Coriandrum sativum seed in concious mice

Coriandrum sativum L. (coriander) has been indicated for a number of medial problems in traditional medicine such as loss of appetite, convulsion, and nervousness. We have previously shown that the aqueous extract of coriander has depressant effects on motor coordination and spontaneous activity, suggesting of a possible sedative and muscle relaxant effect. These findings suggest that coriander...

Acute and sub-chronic toxicological evaluation of hydro-methanolic extract of Coriandrum sativum L. seeds

Coriandrum sativum L. (CS) seeds are known to possess therapeutic potentials against a variety of physiological disorders. This study assesses acute and sub-chronic toxicity profile of hydro-methanolic extract of CS seeds using OECD guidelines. In acute toxicity study, mice were once orally administered 1000, 3000 and 5000 mg/kg body weight of CS extract. There were no any behavioral alteration...
